Terms of Use
These terms apply when you use the CatchHour app. By using it, you agree to them.
1. Who provides the service
CatchHour is operated by Tariel Tsakadze, an individual entrepreneur registered in Georgia, Sadgeri N2, 2g, Tbilisi 0194, Georgia. Contact: info@satevzao.ge.
2. What CatchHour is
CatchHour scores the fishing conditions for a point you choose, hour by hour. The score is calculated from public weather data — pressure and its trend, wind, temperature, cloud cover, precipitation, sunrise and sunset, the moon phase and solunar feeding periods, and wave height on the coast. The weather itself is the median of five national forecast models.
It is an estimate, not a promise. No forecast can tell you that fish will bite, and ours does not claim to. More importantly: do not use CatchHour to decide whether it is safe to go out. Weather models are wrong sometimes, data can be delayed or missing, and conditions on water change faster than any forecast. For safety at sea, on large lakes or on ice, rely on official marine and weather warnings and your own judgement.
3. Your account
An account is optional — the app works without one. If you create an account, keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens through it. Tell us if you think someone else has access. You can delete your account at any time in the app under More → Delete.
4. Premium subscription
The free version gives you today's score, one day of forecast, and up to 3 saved spots. Premium adds the full 7-day forecast, the hour-by-hour comparison of all five weather models, and unlimited saved spots.
- Premium is offered as a monthly or a yearly subscription. Prices are shown in the app and are charged in your own currency by the store.
- New subscribers get a 7-day free trial. When it ends, the subscription renews automatically at the price shown at purchase, unless you cancel it.
- It keeps renewing until you cancel. Cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends, otherwise the next period is charged.
- You cancel in your store account — on iOS: Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- If you cancel, you keep Premium until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- Payments and refunds are handled by Apple or Google, not by us. We never see your card details and cannot issue a refund ourselves — request one through the store.
- If we ever change the price, you will be told in advance and the new price will only apply after you agree to it.
5. Your data and your content
Your saved spots and your catch log stay on your device and are not uploaded to us. They are yours. How we handle everything else is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
6. What you may not do
Please do not try to break into the service, scrape it in bulk, resell the forecasts as your own product, or use the app for anything unlawful. We may suspend access if you do.
7. Ownership
The app, its name, its design and its scoring method belong to us. Using CatchHour does not transfer any of that to you. Weather data comes from Open-Meteo and remains subject to their terms.
8. Availability and changes
We try to keep CatchHour running, but we cannot promise it will always be available or error-free. Features may change, and the app depends on external weather services that can fail or change their own terms. If we ever discontinue the service, we will give notice and, where a paid period remains, refunds will be handled through the store.
9. Liability
CatchHour is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost catches, wasted trips, or any indirect loss arising from the use of the app. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or the mandatory rights of consumers in the European Union.
10. Ending these terms
You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it. We may end your access if you seriously breach these terms. Any subscription period you have already paid for is unaffected.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Georgia. If you are a consumer in the European Union, you keep the protections of the mandatory law of your own country.
12. Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them, and material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect.
